Overview

The $SHARD token's primary function will be as a properly decentralized royalty and governance token over the protocol, that is completely resistant to any form of team abuse. We believe this model for L2 is superior in comparison to creating artificial use cases for L2 tokens e.g. forcing protocol participants to take their yields in the token, or offering lower fees for token holders. $SHARD tokenomics are modelled so that the tokens value will scale linearly with the TVL of the protocol.
